The Pile Cap - Geometry option defines geometry and reinforcement of a pile cap. Select the option from:
The following dialog displays:
The following information is provided in the dialog:
1 - pile cap for one pile
2 - pile cap for two piles
3 - pile cap for three piles (geometry based on an equilateral triangle with a possibility to truncate corners)
4 - pile cap for four piles (geometry based on a square).
Select the Add element option to group the reinforcing bars (or reinforcing wire fabrics) of a pile cap reinforcement into an element while generating the formwork / reinforcement of the pile cap. The name specified in the Element name field is added on the Model tab of the Object Inspector dialog. The element (the group of reinforcing bars) displays in the Element manager dialog.
Once pile cap geometry is selected, dimension values are defined; a number of dimensions to be defined depends on a selected pile cap scheme. A schematic drawing of a pile cap adapts itself to the selected scheme.
You can add a description of structural axes (by standard, the letter A and the digit 1 are entered - these values are editable) as well as the reference level (level of the top surface of a pile cap) in a schematic drawing of a pile cap.
After completing definition of pile cap dimensions and clicking Next, the Pile cap - Reinforcement dialog displays.
