To work with component roads (preview)

To add a component road

  1. Click .
  2. Choose a component road assembly from the Select Assembly catalogue.
  3. Click points to draw the component road.
  4. Press ENTER to end the road.
  5. After you have added the component road, you can select and delete or use grips to adjust individual components as needed.

To add a component to a component road

  1. In Edit mode, right-click the component road and click Insert Components.

    If you're not in Edit mode, right-click the component road and click Edit.

  2. From the Select Component catalogue, click the component to insert.

    An orange guide appears to help you to position the component on the desired track.

  3. Click to insert the component.
  4. Use the grips to adjust the size of the inserted component. Double-click to finish inserting the component.

To split a component

You can split a component to modify a section or replace it with a different component or assembly.

  1. In Edit mode, click the component to split.

    If you're not in Edit mode, right-click the component road and click Edit.

  2. Right-click the selected component and click Split Component.
  3. Click the location of the split.

To modify a component

  1. Click the component to modify.

    If you're not in Edit mode, right-click the component road and click Edit.

  2. Use the asset card to adjust component properties.

To add an assembly to the Select Assembly catalogue

  1. Right-click the component road assembly to add to the catalogue.

    If you're not in Edit mode, right-click the component road and click Edit.

  2. From the right-click menu, click Add To Library.
  3. Click to specify the cross section to add to the library.
  4. Specify a name for the assembly.
