FAQ: How are multiple tubes cut at a single node?

To cut multiple tubes at a single node, use the Element contour - Rule command:

  1. Align the tubes with their system axes meeting at a single node.

  2. Select the tubes in pairs. First, use the command on Tube 1 and on Tube 2. Then, use it on Tube 2 and Tube 1, to obtain a symmetrical cut between the two tubes.

  3. Repeat for all the tube pairs.
Note: This example contains 5 tubes and requires 10 cuts in order to avoid collisions between the tubes.
