To Chamfer a Corner and Dimension the Chamfer

You can automatically create chamfer dimensions when you chamfer a corner.

1. Click Home tabModify panelFillet drop-downChamfer. Find
2. Click <Current tab>Chamfer Options panelDistance. Find
3. On the ribbon, in the Chamfer Options panel, check the chamfer length values. To change the chamfer lengths:
   1. Click <Current tab>Chamfer Options panelFirst Chamfer drop-down. Find
   2. Select a value for the first length.
   3. Click <Current tab>Chamfer Options panelSecond Chamfer drop-down. Find
   4. Select a value for the second length.
4. Select <Current tab>Chamfer Options panelInsert Dimension. Find.
5. Click an empty space in the drawing area.
6. Select the first line that forms the corner.
7. Select the second line that forms the corner, or press ENTER for polyline.
8. Press ESC to exit the command.
