To Configure and Install Autodesk Software on a Single Computer

Install your product or a trial version on a single computer, or on multiple computers if you have a multi-seat license.

Note: If you're installing Maya LT 2016, see your product documentation for installation details.

Alternatively, if you are a network administrator, create a deployment; follow the link to "About Network Administration" at the bottom of this page

  1. If the installer isn't already open, launch it by double-clicking the .exe or .dmg file associated with your product and version, for example, setup.exe.

If you downloaded your software, look for this file in the default download folder for your web browser, your desktop, or the Autodesk folder: System >Autodesk > ProductName_Version_Language_OS.

  2. (Optional) At the top of the screen, specify a language for the installation instructions.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Read and accept the license agreement for your country or region.
  5. If your product displays a Product Language drop-down menu, do one of the following:
    • Choose a language.
    • If you installed a language pack, choose Add Language Pack. Then use the Browse button to locate and add the language pack, which is a file with the .msi extension. If you're installing a suite, click the Browse button by each product that requires the language pack.
  6. Under License Type, select Stand-Alone.
  7. Choose to run the product as a trial, or enter your serial number and product key if prompted.
  8. On the Configure Installation screen, accept the default installation path or specify a new one. This path is limited to 260 characters.
  9. Do one of the following:
    • (Recommended) Accept the default configuration by clicking Install. This option preselects the components to be installed with your product.
    • Customize the installation by selecting or deselecting components, adding service packs, and so on. Click the triangle by each product component to view more information. For additional information on configuration, check your product documentation . When you finish making selections, click Install.
  10. When the installation is complete, you see a list of the products installed on your computer. Click Finish to close the installer.
