To Download Your Product Software

If you don't have physical media, download your product software.

Product versions are independent of one another and are not add-ons to previous releases. Even if you're upgrading, you need to download and install the full new product version.

Where to Obtain Products

If you don't have physical media, obtain your Autodesk software in one of the following ways:

• Autodesk Store. Purchase and download the most recent versions of Autodesk software, including perpetual license and subscription.
• Autodesk Account. Log in to your account and look for your product in the list of Products & Services. If you're a subscription customer, you also have access to previous versions directly from your Autodesk account.
• Education Community. Members of the Education Community can obtain software by logging in to the Education Community website.
• Trial versions. You can find trial versions on the Autodesk Products page. In most cases, you can download software, use it on a trial basis, and purchase when the trial expires.
• Virtual Agent. If you don't have access to an Autodesk account, the Academic Resource Center, or the Education Community, you can use the Autodesk virtual agent. From the agent, you can download current and previous versions of products.

How to Download Products

If you're downloading software from a site other than an Autodesk account (for example, the Education Community website), the order of these steps may vary. Follow the on-screen prompts.

1. Choose a download method (Install Now, Download Now, or Browser Download). If the method you want isn't listed, it may not be available for that software version.
   • Install Now. This method is quick because it lets you select only the products and components you want and starts without waiting for all files to download. Use this option if you are installing on a single computer. You can't use this method to install a network deployment.

     Install Now is especially useful if you're installing trial software. For student software, Install Now also automatically enters your serial number and product key for you.

   Note: After choosing Install Now, make sure to complete the download and installation. If you don't, the installer file (.exe) will not work again.
   • Download Now. Use this option if you are creating a network deployment or want to install on a different computer. This method downloads the complete software package, which is more efficient and reliable than a conventional browser download.
   • Browser Download. As an alternative to Download Now and Install Now, you can download a complete installation package from a browser.
2. If prompted, choose your product details, such as language, version, and operating system.
Note: For Windows systems, 32-bit or 64-bit refers to your operating system version. Most Windows systems are 64-bit, but you can check by going to Control Panel > System.
3. If you chose Install Now or Download Now, respond to the prompts:
   • If you chose Download Now, download and install the Autodesk Download Manager (DLM) when prompted. Then use the DLM to install the product.
   • Read and accept the License Agreement and click Install. If your browser asks what to do with the install file, select Run.
   • We recommend that you accept the default download location and make a note of it.
