Publish Factory Assets for Use in Factory Layouts - Reference

Publish Asset

The Publish Asset dialog box contains three tabs.

The General tab adds the model to the User Assets folder of the Factory Assets library. It also provides the option to publish your asset to the cloud.

The 3D Options tab provides file publishing and Navisworks compatibility options.

The 2D Options tab creates a 2D drawing (in DWG format) of the 3D asset being published. Publishing a 2D drawing of a 3D asset creates a 2D asset for use in AutoCAD Factory. You can choose which view representation to publish, and select between a hidden line and non-hidden line view. You also have the option to publish a specific sketch from the part or assembly browsers.
