To import pipelines

Import pipeline data to add it to the current model. Configure imported pipeline data to specify desired settings such as elevation offsets. Negative elevation offsets place pipelines underground.

  1. Follow the general import instructions.
  2. On the Data Source Configuration screen, on the Common tab, map properties from the data source to the following:
    • Type: The profile type of the pipeline (Circle, Ellipse, or Rectangle).
    • Elevation Offset: Adds an offset (in meters) to every z-coordinate of the geometry (along the z-axis of the whole geometry).
    • Elevation Offset From/To: Controls the slope of pipes by specifying elevation offsets for their start and end points separately.
    • Size X/Y: The vertical and horizontal size of the pipe cross-section. For a circular pipe, both values are equal.

Note: You can also use an expression to map a property from the data store to one of these attributes. See Use Expressions.
Note: Drainage Design for InfraWorks 360 enables subscribers to add drainage networks to design roads, including connectors selected from a 3D components part catalog. See About Drainage Design.
