You can switch between Adaptive and Maximum LOD for selected feature classes.
There are two methods for setting the Level of Detail.
- Set level of detail for a feature class — Use the Model Explorer to set the level of detail for any feature type within the current model.
-
Set level of detail for the entire model
— Use the Display Detail setting in the 3D Graphics tab of the Application Options dialog to control the level of detail for all features in your model.
To set level of detail by feature class
The default is Adaptive LOD. When you select Maximum LOD for the selected feature type, its members will always display at the highest detail level available.
- Click in the Utility Bar to display the Model Explorer panel.
- Click Maximum LOD for the feature types to set. In example below, Points of Interest feature class is set to Maximum LOD.
There is a single Maximum LOD setting for all Surface layers (Point Clouds, Terrain, Coverage, Railways, Roads, and Water Areas). Other feature types have individual settings.
Note: For feature types with a large number of features, the Maximum LOD setting can cause significant increases in refresh times.
