The Setup Sheet feature allows you to generate an overview of the NC program for the CNC operator. Inventor HSM includes several setup sheets of which the HTML setup sheet is the default and is fully customizable.
Tip: Ask your reseller about customization of the setup sheets and post processors.
Creating a Setup Sheet
To automatically create a setup sheet, follow these steps:
- Orient/zoom the model viewport so it displays your part and the WCS clearly.
- From the CAM Browser, select the operations that you want to include in the setup sheet, or clear the selection to include all operations.
- On the ribbon, click
CAM tab
Toolpath panel
Setup Sheet
. Or right-click the appropriate operation in the CAM Browser and select Generate Setup Sheet from the pop-up context menu.
- You are then prompted for a folder in which to save the setup sheet. You can use the default temporary folder if you just want to print the setup sheet. If you wish to save the setup sheet for later, you should locate or create a suitable folder.
- The setup sheet is created and automatically opened in your Internet browser. You can then print the setup sheet from the Internet browser.
Most setup sheets have common settings which can be used to adjust their behavior. The settings can be made in the Post Process dialog box. For instance, you can set the tool change time in seconds by setting toolChangeTime in the lower-right property list when selecting the HTML Setup Sheet called setup-sheet.cps.
