Viscosity result for all mesh types

The viscosity result shows the viscosity of the polymer at the time the results file was written. This result can be animated, and changes over time.

The viscosity result has been available, in prior releases, for 3D meshed models. This release sees the addition of the viscosity result for Dual Domain and Midplane meshes. The viscosity result is now available for the following mesh types: for all analyses that include:

The viscosity result is a profiled result, written at different times and on different layers. The maximum value for this result is 1.0e7 Pa-sec.

Important: To create this result, ensure that you have set the number of profiled results to a value greater than zero. To check your settings, click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).

To use this result, for 3D models, create a cutting plane through the model, so you can see how the viscosity changes through the part. For Dual Domain and Midplane models, change the Normalized thickness to 0, then animate to see the viscosity change over time.
