You can use the following workflows to reset the pivot position and orientation for your component selection.
To reset the custom pivot's position
- Do one of the following:
- Shift-click in the area outside of the object.
- Right-click in your scene and select
Reset Pivot Position.
The custom pivot resets to its original position and the
Axis Orientation remains in
Custom mode.
Note: If you're editing the pivot point at an object level, the position of the custom pivot resets to the center of the object's bounding box.
To reset the custom pivot's orientation
- Do one of the following:
- Ctrl-click in the area outside of the object.
- Right-click in your scene and select
Reset Pivot Orientation.
The custom pivot resets to its original orientation and the
Axis Orientation remains in
Custom mode.
To reset the custom pivot's position and orientation
- Do one of the following:
- Click in the area outside of the object.
The
Axis Orientation resets to the previously selected mode.
- Right-click in your scene and select
Reset Pivot.
The
Axis Orientation resets to the previously selected mode.
- Click
Reset in the
Tool Settings.
Note: If you're editing the pivot point at an object level, the position and orientation of the custom pivot resets to the center of the object's bounding box.
To reset the custom pivot's position and orientation to its reference frame of selected components
- Make a selection of components.
- Adjust the pivot position and axis orientation.
- Ctrl + Shift-click in the area outside of the object.
The pivot position and orientation resets to the selected components local axis and the
Axis Orientation remains in
Custom mode.
