You may occasionally find it necessary to create geometry to add to a CAD model that you have imported, in order to improve the accuracy of the simulation. Modeling tools are available on the
Geometry tab to help you create simple geometries, such as:
- Runners
- Gates
- Sprues
- Cooling lines
- Molds
Geometries created in
Synergy are based on nodes, curves and or regions. Broadly speaking, the steps involved are:
- Create curves (lines) or nodes that will be used to define the geometry.
- Set the property type.
- Create the regions.
The geometry must then be meshed.
