Basic Tab

Use the Basic tab to perform a text string search on properties in the vault.

Using the Basic tab, you can also search the contents of files in the vault for the specified text string. In order to perform a full content search, the Content Indexing Service must be turned on in the server console.

Note: In a multi-site environment, only files at the local site are returned for a full content search.

Search For

Use this field to enter any text string for the search criteria. Any file with a property containing the text string is returned.

Search File Content

Select this check box if you want to search for the specified string within the contents of all files in the vault. This check box is only available when searching for files. Note: Content Indexing Service must be enabled in the server console in order to search file content. In a multi-site environment, only files at the local site are returned for a full content search.
