Find Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to specify more specific and complicated search criteria. For example, locate the files based on title, author information, file size, date and time. The results of the search can then be sorted and filtered using the sort, filter, and grouping features.

In the Find dialog box, you can specify new searches, save searches, open saved searches, and manage saved searches. You can also export search results to XLS, XML, HTML, and TXT file formats.

Menu Bar and Toolbar

The menu bar and the toolbar enables you to create and manage your searches.

Look For Drop-Down

Choose one of the following options:

Files. Finds only files that match your search criteria.

Folders. Finds only folders that match your search criteria.

Any. Finds both files and folders matching the search criteria.

Buttons

Browse. Opens the Look In dialog box, and allows you to specify the folders to search in. By default, the entire vault is searched.

Find Now. Runs the search. The results of the search are displayed at the bottom of the Find dialog box.

Stop. Stops the search at any time.

New. Clears the search results and the search criteria.
