Recover Deleted Revit Models in a Cloud Project

Recover deleted Revit models from the Trash in a cloud project.

Note: The Trash is not available in Revit 2016.

Team members cannot sync with a model that has been deleted. To recover a model and make it available for the team, use the Manage Cloud Models tool. Revit models that have been deleted from a cloud project can be recovered from the Trash within 30 days of the deletion date. When you recover a model, all versions of the model are available in the current project.

  1. Click Collaborate tabManage Models panel (Manage Cloud Models).
  2. Select a cloud project. There are 2 tabs in the project view: Current Project and Trash. The number of models displays with each tab.
  3. Click the Trash tab. Any models that have been deleted from this project within the last 30 days display on the Trash tab.
  4. Locate the model you want to recover. Click the column header to sort the list by model name, deleted by, or deleted time.
  5. Click (Recover). A message notifies you that if you recover the model it will be moved to the Current Project tab and team members will then be able to sync their changes to it.
  6. Click Recover. The model is restored to the current project. The model name is appended with "Recovered." If the recovered model has the same name as another model in the current project, then the name is appended with "Recovered (x)" where "x" is a number that starts at 1 and increments with each subsequent recovery.
  7. Optionally: From the Current Project tab, you can rename the model by clicking (Actions)Rename. Enter a new name and click Rename.
