Modify a Railing Join

Override joins for a railing on a join-by-join basis.

1. Open the plan or 3D view where the railing is located.
2. Double-click the railing, or select the railing and click Modify | Railings tabMode panel Edit Path.
3. Click Modify | Railings > Edit Path tabTools panel Edit Joins.
4. Optionally, to preview your changes in the 3D view, on the Options panel, select Preview.
5. Move the cursor along the path of the railing.

   A box displays around the join as you move your cursor over it on the path.

6. Click to select the join. When the join is selected, an X displays on the join.
7. On the Options Bar, for Rail Join, select a join method.

   Join methods are set by the Angled Joins and Tangent Joins parameters for the railing type. For more information about these parameters and join methods, see Railing System Type Properties.

8. Click Finish Edit Mode.
