Introduction
The topics in this branch cover the post-processing phase of the simulation process. Post-processing in Autodesk Simulation Mechanical includes the following:
- Evaluating the analysis results within the Results environment
- Capturing images and animations of your analysis results
- Creating and customizing reports within the Report environment
The various ribbon tabs and commands within the Results environment are discussed herein. In addition, you will learn about the animation player that is included with Simulation Mechanical, which you can use to replay your animation videos.
Once an analysis is complete, the results are displayed within the Results environment. For some analyses, you monitor the intermediate results while the analysis is ongoing. That is, for certain analysis types, you can view the model and the intermediate results within the Results environment before the simulation has finished.
When you reopen a previously run simulation model, in which results are already present, enter the Results environment using one of the following three methods:
- Click the Results tab at the top of the Browser
- Click Tools
Environments Results - Click the Results icon within the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)
You can also enter the Report environment using the associated Browser tab, ribbon command, or QAT icon.
