To Use the Timeline

Open the Timeline

• Select Animation > Timeline.

  Use the Timeline to create and play animations. The time format is set to Frames by default.

Use the Timeline

1. To change the time format of the Timeline, right-click it and choose between frames, seconds, or both.
2. To scroll through the animation, drag through the Timeline.
3. To go to a specific frame, enter the frame number in the Frame Number box beside the Timeline.
4. To change the range of frames displayed, drag the slider that is above the Timeline. You can also enter values in the boxes beside the slider.
   
5. Use the player controls to play, pause, and stop playback and to navigate to the start, end, or next keyframe.
6. Set a keyframe to store the transformation values for the current frame.
7. To show only animations that are currently loaded in the Curve Editor, click Toggle Curve Editor Animations .
8. To customize how the Timeline works, click Preferences .
