Use this dialog box to specify and view basic information about the current graph.
Properties
- Name
- A read-only field that displays the name of the graph, as derived from its file name.
- File
- A read-only field that displays the location and name of the graph file.
Tip: To navigate quickly to the file location, drag to select the path text (excluding the file name), press
Ctrl+C to copy, then paste into the address field of a file browser such as Windows Explorer.
- Graph GUID
- The read-only globally unique identifier of the graph file.
- Version GUID
- The read-only globally unique identifier of the current version of the graph file.
- Version Major/Minor/Revision
- Enter version numbers in these user-defined fields.
- Last modified
- The read-only date and time of the current version of the graph file. This is equivalent to the Date Modified field in Windows.
- Created
- The read-only date and time of the first version of the graph file. This is equivalent to the Date Created field in Windows.
- Author
- Enter author information in this user-defined field.
- Company
- Enter company information in this user-defined field.
- Copyright
- Enter copyright information in this user-defined field.
- Url
- Enter a Web address for further information in this user-defined field.
- Category
- Enter category information in this user-defined field.
Note: You can use the Category field to specify where in the interface your graph output appears. For example, when creating a geometry object, if you don't specify a category, it appears on the Object Type rollout the Max Creation Graph category on the Create panel.
However, you might specify a different category, such as My Objects. Then, upon evaluating the graph (or installing the package), that category is created, if necessary, and the object appears on its Object Type rollout instead.
- Is Simulation
- Controls whether the graph is simulated. Simulation graphs are evaluated every frame, and have an extra
Simulation rollout to control the simulation. For more information, see

- Description
- Enter a description of the graph in this user-defined field.
