General Enhancements
You can now attach datum identifier symbols to feature control frames.
Drafting Standard Related Enhancements
Datum identifier symbols are enhanced to comply with the 2012 revision of the ISO 1101 drafting standard. Consequently, the following drafting standards derived from the ISO standard are also updated.
- BSI EN ISO 1101:2013, BSI EN ISO 5459:2011
- DIN EN ISO 1101:2008, DIN EN ISO 5459:2011
- CSN EN ISO 1101:2013

Saving to Older Versions
If you save a drawing to an older version of AutoCAD Mechanical, datum identifier symbols that are attached to feature control frames (if the drawing contains any) become detached. The datum identifier symbol continues to be editable with the AMPOWEREDIT command.
When you save an ISO 1101:2013 datum identifier symbol to an earlier version, the symbol remains editable with AMPOWEREDIT command. The symbol reverts to the ISO 1101:2004 standard, with overrides applied to its settings.
