To Configure Vault for Use with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Configure Autodesk Vault so that it will be available in the Prospector tree.

Note: You must perform this procedure on every vault that you want to access from AutoCAD Civil 3D. This procedure does not apply to Autodesk Vault Basic.

1. Launch Autodesk Vault Server.
   Note: You must log in as a user with the Administrator role.
2. In Autodesk Vault Server widow, in the left pane, expand the Vaults collection.
3. Locate the vault you want to access from the AutoCAD Civil 3D Prospector tree. Right-click the vault. Click Import Configuration.
4. In the Open Configuration File dialog box, navigate to <Vault server install location>\Program Files\Autodesk\ADMS [vault server type]\Custom Configuration\Civil3D_Vault_Configuration.cfg. Click Open.
