Sample workflow for an intersection between two straight lines:
- In Infrastructure Application Extension, in the Construction toolbar, click
Intersection.
- In the map, select element 1. The element, with its determining points P1 and P2, is highlighted in the drawing.
- Select element 2. The element, with P3 and P4, is highlighted. The Intersection dialog box is displayed.
- In the dialog box, select the feature class in which to store the intersection point.
- Click Save Inters. 1 to store the point in the database.
You can now quit or calculate other intersections.
- Click New to reset the intersection parameters. You can now select new elements in the map.
- Select element 1.
- Select element 2.
After you select element 2, the Intersection dialog box becomes active again. Use the dialog box to modify the intersection parameters.
- In the Intersection 1 row, click
to switch to Tangential mode.
- Enter a radius for the tangent to be calculated.
- Click Calculate to calculate the tangent with the modified parameters.
- Click Show Next
to show all possible locations of the tangential arc.
- Select the feature class in which to store the tangent.
- Click Save Inters. 1 to store the arc in the database.
