Keep the following in mind as you use the construction commands:
- When you start a construction command, you are prompted to select elements in the drawing or in the map. Always watch the status line!
Note:
The elements have to be enterprise industry model features, which means they have to be stored in the database.
- As soon as the required elements are selected, the focus changes to the construction dialog box.
Note:
If you press Esc instead of selecting an element, the construction dialog box is displayed immediately without prompting.
- The construction dialog box displays all construction elements, parameters, and results. For example, it displays point coordinates, radius, and distance. You can modify the parameters and calculate again. See Construction Dialog Boxes and Menus.
Note:
Some construction functions have no dialog box. They are controlled by the command line.
- After the re-calculation, the drawing is updated with the new result.
- You can save the result in the database.
