Workflow: Creating a Network Deployment

A deployment is an efficient way to install one or more Autodesk products with a standard configuration on multiple computers. The files required for installation are stored on a workstation in the network, in a folder from which the product can be distributed to all workstations.

Follow these steps to deploy an Autodesk product across your network.

  1. To Prepare for a Deployment
    Collect licensing information, install required administrative utilities, check system requirements, evaluate product configuration options, make deployment choices, and decide whether to install the Autodesk desktop app.
  2. To Create a Network Share
    Choose a shared network location for the administrative image.
  3. To Begin the Deployment Process
    Specify the deployment name, administrative image path, products included, and installation options.
  4. To Provide Product and License Information
    Specify the product language, license type, and network license server model.
  5. To Customize Product Installation and Select Updates
    Instead of accepting the default configuration of a product, you can customize it and select the updates you want to include.
  6. To Specify Settings for the Autodesk Desktop App
    Enable or disable the Autodesk desktop app and configure settings for computers in your deployment.
  7. To Test a Deployment and Distribute Products to Workstations
    Test your deployment on one computer before distributing products to all workstations in your network.
