Create a texture deformer

Two nodes are created when you create a texture deformer: textureDeformer and textureDeformerHandle. TextureDeformer deforms the mesh while textureDeformerHandle controls the deformation direction. textureDeformerHandle is hidden by default. You can have it display in the Attribute Editor by choosing Direction as Handle, or in the TextureDeformer tool option by selecting Direction as Handle.

To create a texture deformer

  1. Select a deformable object.
  2. Select Deform > Texture >.
  3. In the Texture Options that appear, set the options you want.
  4. Click the map button next to the Texture attribute in the Attribute Editor.

    The Create Render Node window window appears.

  5. Select and manipulate a texture handle.

    The object deforms.
