Motion Graphics

Motion Graphics is a branch of visual design that typically involves rearranging and transforming abstract shapes into interesting animations. Below is a list of useful features for developing these kinds of effects.

Polygon Text Allows you to create 3D text using any installed font. You can then modify, color, reshape, and animate the text by line, word, or character.

Especially useful when combined with the Curve Warp deformer to create moving or warping titles, or combined with MASH to form it up or break it apart.

Polygon SVG Objects Allows you to import 2D SVG objects as 3D polygon objects. You can then modify, color, reshape, and animate the object by layer.

Useful for quickly translating vector images into 3D objects so they can be tumbled and deformed.

MASH Procedural Effects Allows you to create instances or full mesh reproductions of polygonal objects, then apply different procedural effects to them. Effects can be combined to compound their results.

Useful for creating and tweaking 2D or 3D abstractions of shapes and colors.

Polygon SVG Objects Allows you to import 2D SVG objects as 3D polygon objects. You can then modify, color, reshape, and animate the object by layer.

Adobe Live Link Allows you to view a scene in both Maya and Adobe® After Effects® at the same time.
