The Simulation Job Manager is an add-in program that is installed, automatically, with your software, and that manages the computational components of your analysis. With this release, the Simulation Job Manager has been enhanced to improve the functionality.
Results are now saved in the temporary storage directory for 7 days, before they are deleted by the Simulation Job Server. If your analysis has completed in the Simulation Job Manager, but there is a break in communication and the results are not returned to you by the Job Server, you can recover the results, manually. Simply go to the Job Server storage directory, typically located at:
copy the results, and save them to your computer.
The default setting for saving results in the Job Server storage directory is 7 days. You can change this value to a minimum 0 hours and up to a maximum 10 years, by adding a new value in the dsspjobclient config file, which is located by default at:
The process to uninstall the Simulation Job Manager has changed with Simulation Job Manager 6.2, such that it is no longer uninstalled from the Autodesk Uninstall Tool. The Simulation Job Manager is now uninstalled from the Windows Control Panel.
