To set up a 3D residual stress, either follow the order of the buttons on the Home tab of the ribbon UI, or follow the order of the items in the Study Tasks pane. Make sure you have a 3D model, and that you select an analysis sequence that includes Fill+Pack+Warp or Cool+Fill+Pack+Warp.
When you get to the process settings, to enable a 3D residual stress:
The Fill+Pack Analysis Advanced Options dialog opens.
The Thermoplastics material dialog opens.
When all the items in the Study Tasks pane have check marks against them, the analysis is ready to launch.
