Select a hole
|
- Select by triangles is the default option. Click it to define the hole according to triangles immediately connected to the hole. Then select at least one triangle with an edge on the hole.
Tip: Use the
Ctrl
key to select a second or third layer of elements directly connected to the selected boundary but further away from the hole. This additional information is especially useful for curved surfaces as it improves the detection of the bend angle and improves the quality of the patch.
Note: The new created entities will go into the same layer as the selected triangles around the hole.
-
Click
Select by nodes (legacy) to define the hole according to a sequence of connected nodes. Then select at least one node on the border of the hole.
Note: For this option, you can select the layer you want the new entities to go into, in the
Layers pane, and then click
Make Active.

Search
|
Click Search to detect the hole.
Click Search to find a sequence of connected nodes or triangles defining a boundary to be filled with triangles.

Note: This tool should not be used in areas with high curvature.
Note: This function do a purge nodes, deleting all isolated nodes.
