Define the Element Type and Cross Section for Beams

1. Right-click the Element Type heading under Part 4 in the browser and choose Beam.
2. Double-click the Element Definition heading under Part 4 in the browser.
   1. Click in row 1 of the Sectional Properties table to select this row.
   2. Click the Cross-Section Libraries button.
      1. Select Round from the drop-down list in the upper right corner.
      2. Type 2 in the Radius (R) field.
      3. Click OK to accept the cross section.
   3. Click OK to accept the element definition.
