Exporting a gem

You can export a gem as an ArtCAM Assembly (.3da), Binary STL (.stl), ASCII STL (.stl), Wavefront Object (.obj), Autodesk Machining Triangles (.dmt), Autodesk DDZ (.ddz) or 3D PDF (.pdf) file.

To export a gem:

  1. In the Project panel, right-click the gem in the Project Tree that you want to export, and then select Export from the context menu. The Export Mesh As dialog is displayed:
  2. Navigate to the folder in which you want to save the gem.
  3. Enter a File name.
  4. In the Save as type list, select the file-type in which you want to save the gem.
  5. Click Save to close the dialog and save the gem file.
