To Align the Reference Line of a Taper/Slope Symbol to the Baseline (AutoCAD Mechanical)

1. In the drawing area, double-click the symbol to edit.
2. Click the Leader and Text tab.
3. Click the Adjust button. The dialog box hides.
4. Shift+Right-click the drawing area. AutoCAD Mechanical displays a menu.
5. Click Parallel.
6. Move the pointer over the baseline until you see the parallel icon.
7. Move the pointer to the approximate position you intend to place the symbol. AutoCAD Mechanical displays a dotted guide line that is parallel to the baseline.
8. Click the guide line. AutoCAD Mechanical displays the dialog box again.
9. Click OK.
