Coolant

Reserved Words for coolant in one-pass posting

Due to the nature of one-pass posting, the familiar <COOLANT> and <CANCEL-COOL> reserved words do not work as expected. Therefore, the <COOLANT-OFF-#> and <COOLANT-ON-#> reserved words should be used in all one-pass posts. These reserved words all refer to the current operation (unlike <CANCEL-COOL>, which contains the code for the previous operation). For the coolants that are used, the corresponding reserved words will contain the appropriate code; the reserved words will be blank for the coolants that are not used. Ten different coolants (#1-10) are available.

Coolant Configuration

It is possible that a single coolant type (such as flood) can have more than one code depending on the tool slot number or tool post used. This behavior can be specified in the Coolant dialog.

To specify multiple codes for a given coolant, select Multi-code and click the Configure button. On each row of the Coolant Configuration dialog, you can specify an On code and an Off code, along with the tool posts and tool slot number ranges that apply to those codes. More rows can be added for each on/off code combination.

Note: The settings at the bottom of the Coolant dialog are for use with the <COOLANT> and <CANCEL-COOL> reserved words only, so they can be ignored in a Swiss post.
