The Sync Navisworks workflow opens the active Inventor layout in Navisworks. The assembly file is saved in .nwf format for improved performance within the Navisworks environment.
Syncing with Navisworks creates a Navisworks file with the same name as the Inventor file and stores it in the same location. If there is a 2D DWG underlay linked with the 3D layout, the DWG file is appended to the file if the Load associated file option is selected in the Options Editor.
