Expand selection to nodes on the same surface

Use the Nodes on Same Surface tool to select all nodes on the same surface of a feature.

Use this tool, for example, to select all surface nodes before applying boundaries condition.

The Nodes on Same Surface tool is supported for the following mesh types:

• Midplane
• Dual Domain
• 3D

Note: This feature does not apply to beams.

1. Make sure that the relevant layers are visible. Invisible nodes are not selected.
2. Select a node on the interior of the surface.
3. Click (Mesh tab > Selection panel > Expand to) and select Nodes on same surface from the drop down menu.
