Expand selection to nodes on the same edge

Use the Nodes on Same Edge tool to select all the nodes on the edge of a feature.

You can use this tool, for example, to select all the edge nodes before applying boundaries conditions.

The Nodes on Same Edge tool is supported for the following mesh types:

• Midplane
• Dual Domain
• 3D

Restriction: This feature does not apply to beams. This tool can not be used when nodes are expected to be listed in the order of connectivity

1. Make sure that the relevant layers are visible. Invisible nodes are not selected.
2. Select a node on the interior of the required edge. Do not select a corner.
   Note: If the edge is too curved, or the mesh elements are too large, use the Ctrl key to select several nodes on the edge.
3. Click (Mesh tab > Selection panel > Expand to), and select Nodes on same Edge from the drop down menu.

   All the nodes are selected instantly.
