Select Product and Electrode Objects (Electrode Wizard - Design)

Use this page to select an object representing the product for which Electrode creates the electrode. You can also select a pre-modelled electrode object or any surfaces created to aid electrode design.

Note: If there is an active solid in the model, Electrode Wizard - Design selects the solid as the product and this page of the wizard is omitted.

To select objects for electrode design:

1. Select the Product object.
2. Click Wizard tab > Electrode panel > Create to display the Select Product and Electrode Objects page of the Electrode Wizard - Design:

   

Tip: You can also select the Product object when the Electrode Wizard - Design is open.
3. If required, click Electrode and select either a pre-modelled object on which you want to base the electrode, or select additional surfaces created to aid electrode design, for example shutout faces at the intersection of ribs, as shown below:

   

4. Click Next to display the Select Region to Make Electrode page. The Electrode Wizard - Design guides you through the steps to create an electrode.
