This dialog is displayed when you click on the
button on the
Specify Electrode Blank page or by selecting
Simulation from the
Electrode context menu.
As you move the slider to the right, the electrode moves upwards. When you move the slider to the left, the electrode moves downwards, simulating the electrode burning motion.
The simulation of the electrode burning motion reflects the Extraction Vector you specified on the first page of the wizard.
- If your electrode is extracted along the Z axis, the simulation shows the extraction as a continuous motion.
- If your electrode is extracted in a different direction, there are two stages to the extraction motion as shown below:
- The electrode is extracted along the extraction vector until it is clear of the burn region by the Vector clearance distance.
- The electrode is extracted as normal along the Z axis.
