Electrode archive format (.trode)

You can export electrodes from PowerShape using the Electrode archive file format (.trode).

A .trode file is a single file containing one or more electrode .dgk files with associated metadata (.xml) files and setup sheet images.

This makes it easier to transfer electrodes from PowerShape to PowerMill when the two programs are on different machines. The transfer of an electrode from one machine to another works as follows:

  1. PowerShape generates a single .trode file instead of a whole folder of files.
  2. PowerMill reads in the .trode file and creates an electrode subproject as if the electrode had been created within an embedded session of PowerShape.

You can access with the .trode file options using Windows Explorer.
