Set Up Job Handlers for the Job Server Monitor

Job handlers control the functions of the Job Server Monitor. The two default services are file renaming (repair of broken references between files) and DWF conversion. You can also add other custom handlers, such as PDF creators, to do other tasks. You must enable the job handlers for these processes to work.

Enable Job Handlers

  1. In the bottom left of the Navigation panel, click Monitor.
  2. In the Navigation panel, under the Vault database, click Queries.
  3. In the main window of the Job Server Monitor, click the Job Handler tab.
  4. Select the Active box for each job handler you want to enable.

In some cases, you might disable job handlers to do some troubleshooting, or if you do not want people to be able to rename or create certain types of files.

Add a Job Handler

Job handlers must be registered and installed on your computer before you can add them to the Job Server Monitor.

  1. Click the Tools tab on the Job Server Monitor ribbon.
  2. From the Handler group on the ribbon, click Add.

The Edit Job Handler dialog box opens.

  3. Select a handler from the Handler box.

Only registered job handlers are available from the Handler box.

  4. Enter any other relevant information in the Edit Job Handler dialog box and click OK.
