Use the various comparison options to review the comparison drawing.
- In the DWG Compare dialog, select the two drawings files you want to compare and click Compare. A contextual ribbon tab displays.
- Use the options described below to review the comparison results.
Draw Order
Draw Order allows you to control the display of overlapping objects in your comparison drawing.
Visibility of Compared Objects
Drawing Information
Drawing Information provides you with some basic file information about the two DWG files used for the comparison.
- Click

- In the Information about Compared Files dialog box, you can select from the following:
- Insert in the Drawing. Inserts the information about the compared drawing files in to your current drawing in a table.
- Copy to Clipboard. Copies the information about the compared drawing files to your clipboard for pasting on the drawing as mtext or to another application.
Filters
Filters allow you to hide the comparison results for certain objects.
- To hide text comparison, click

Note: By default, text comparison is set to 1 (on). You can change the default value to 0 (off) using the
COMPARETEXT system variable.

Revision Clouds
Revision clouds are used on the comparison drawing to highlight the differences between the compared files.
- To toggle the visibility of the revision clouds, click

Note: By default, revision cloud visibility is set to 1 (on). You can change the default value using the
COMPARESHOWRC system variable.
- To change the shape of the revision clouds, select Rectangular or Polygonal from the

Note: By default, the revision cloud is set to 0 (rectangular). You can change the default value using the
COMPARERCSHAPE system variable.
- To change the offset distance between the boundary of the change sets and the revision clouds, use the Margin slider on the
.
The higher the margin value, the bigger the boundary that contains the differences, which results in a bigger revision cloud. You can change the default value using the
COMPARERCMARGIN system variable.
