You can specify a point location using a station and an offset along an alignment.
An alignment must exist in the current drawing, and the specified station value must fall within the extents of the alignment.
- When you are prompted to enter a point in a command, do one of the following:

Transparent Commands tab
Plan panel
Station Offset
.
- Right-click to display the
Transparent Commands context menu
Station Offset.
- Activate the transparent command toolbar and select
Station Offset
.
- Enter
'so.
- Select the alignment from which you want to offset values.
The Station Offset contextual ribbon tab is displayed.
- Specify a station by either entering a station value in the ribbon or on the command line, or by clicking in the drawing.
Tip: You can lock the station value by clicking the lock icon next to the Station field in the ribbon or by using the lock option at the command line. Locking the value allows you to repeatedly use the same station value without being prompted for a value.
- Specify an offset distance by either entering an offset value in the ribbon or on the command line, or by clicking in the drawing.
Tip: You can lock the offset value by clicking the lock icon next to the Offset field in the ribbon or by using the lock option at the command line. Locking the value allows you to repeatedly use the same offset value without being prompted for a value.
The coordinates of the point are calculated.

- Continue to select points by specifying stations and offsets, or select a different alignment from the Alignment drop-down list.
- Press
Esc or click Close on the Station Offset contextual tab to end the transparent command.
