Coolant flow temperature equation

The temperature at each node is obtained from the total energy of the fluid entering that node.

Important: The temperature equation is solved at each node, simultaneously with the continuity equation at each node, and the work energy equation at each element, to satisfy the two principles of network solutions.

Referring to the computational domain, the temperature of the fluid at node i is obtained from the total energy of the fluid entering the node, and is given by:

where is the fluid temperature, and the right-hand side of the equation refers to the branch elements. is the specific heat of the fluid, is the energy transfer to element e, and is the mass flow rate in the element.
