Configure the Job Manager

If you installed the Job Manager daemon, you must configure it before starting it.

Configure the Job Manager daemon user
By default, the Job Manager runs as an unprivileged local system user called dssp. The user is added to your system as part of the rpm install process. Altering the name of the daemon user is not advised.
Configure the Job Manager temporary directory
The Job Manager uses the location /var/opt/Autodesk/dssp to store its files.
Open firewall ports
If your machine's local firewall is active, you need to open these ports for connections to succeed.
Controlling the Job Manager
The Job Manager starts, automatically, when it is installed by the rpm mechanism.
