Use the
Fill Hole command to mesh the interior of a hole and gaps in the mesh with triangular elements.
To access this dialog, click

Select a hole

- Select by triangles
- Select a triangle that has an edge on the hole. Click
Search and the triangles surrounding the hole are selected.
- Click
Apply and the hole is filled.
- Select by nodes (legacy)
- Select a node on the edge of the hole. Click
Search and the nodes around the hole are selected
- Click
Apply and the hole is filled.

Note:
- The newly created entities will go into the same layer as the triangles selected to fill the hole.
- This tool should not be used in areas with high curvature. To improve the result on a curved surface, select a second or third row of elements around the hole before applying the tool.
- This function can leave isolated nodes, click
(), to ensure any isolated nodes are removed.
