The Create/Edit Valve Gate Controller dialog is used to set up the valve gate controllers according to your actual setup.
To access this dialog, click

The table lists all the controllers you have created and provides a means to view and edit them
Dialog element | Explanation |

Controller Name |
Name that was assigned to the controller to differentiate it from other valve gate controllers. Select the controller and then click Edit to save under a different name. |
Type |

Initial State | The initial state of a valve can be either Opened or Closed. |
Trigger |
Valve gates can be opened and closed based on different triggers:
Click View/Edit to change to a different trigger. |
Trigger location | For Flow Front or Pressure only options, displays the node or the valve gate where the trigger applies. |
Open At |
Identify the condition for the valve gate to open. The unit depends on the type of the trigger. Click

Close At |
Identify the condition for the valve gate to close. The unit depends on the type of the trigger. Click
|
Opening delay |
For Flow Front only. Displays the amount of time you want to wait after the flow front has passed by the control point before opening the valve gate. |
New | Clicking the New button opens a dialog where you can create and define the properties of a new valve gate controller. |
Highlight | Clicking the Highlight button changes the color of the valve gate, to help you identify where it is being used. |
Edit
Select only one controller at a time to view or edit. |
The Edit button takes you to the View/Edit Valve Gate Controller dialog, where you can view all the details of the valve gate controller programming, and change them where appropriate. If you change them, we recommend that you save the valve gate controller under a new name, to avoid confusion later when reviewing the results. |
Delete |
This button deletes the selected valve gate controller(s) from the table. Select a valve gate before clicking the delete button. |
Create Copy |
This button copies the selected valve gate controller(s) and creates a row in the table beneath each controller that is selected. The new controller(s) is given the same name as the original controller, with a number, in brackets, appended to the end. This number increments for each subsequent controller that is created from that same original controller. Click View/Edit to change to change the name of the controller. |
OK |
This button saves the changes you have made to the valve gate controller, then closes the dialog. |
Cancel |
Clicking this button closes the dialog without saving any changes. |
