Imprint tool dialog

Use the Imprint command to match nodes and triangles on one surface with those on the opposite surface.

To access this dialog, click (Mesh tab > Mesh Edit panel > Advanced > Imprint).

Note: Imprint is only available for dual domain mesh types.

Dialog element	Explanation
Choose where to apply imprinting	All visible triangles The whole of the model is remeshed with the nodes imprinted across the part thickness. Only in selected areas Remesh the selected area. Select triangles including opposite side Enables imprinting of nodes across the part thickness. When there are no selected triangles listed in this box, the selected surface is remeshed without imprinting. This is not recommended.

Note: This function can leave isolated nodes, click (Mesh tab > Mesh Edit tab > Purge Nodes), to ensure any isolated nodes are removed.
