To simulate the temperature at the exterior boundary of the mold, model the shape of the exterior of the mold as a mold block surface.
If you don't have a mold, create one using the Mold Block Wizard. For a Cool (BEM) analysis,
- Click
() to quickly create a mold surface around your part and cooling channels.
- Click
() and select an analysis that includes
Cool.
- Check your process settings to confirm the molding conditions represent your actual molding conditions.
- Confirm that all items in the
Study Tasks panel have a check mark associated with them and click
Start Analysis.
- When the analysis finishes, make sure your mold layer is visible and check the results.
Temperature, mold boundary shows the temperature on the outside of the mold.
Temperature, mold shows the temperature at the interface between the part and the mold.
