Clusters may be defined in two ways, adjusting the values in the downskin analysis, as well as manually marking and unmarking triangles.
Note: These steps assume you have loaded a part and launched the support module on it.
To Define Clusters for Support through Downskin Analysis
Tip: To learn about the downskin analysis, refer to the Support Module Reference.
- In the
support module's
context view, find the first tab,
Analysis.
- Adjust the sliders to meet your printing needs.
To Define Clusters for Support through Manual Marking
- Right-click the part in the display to summon its
context menu.
- Choose
Mark Cluster Manual.
- Use the mouse to draw over the model and mark triangles. Marked triangles form clusters.
Tip: To unmark triangles, hold the
Ctrl key while drawing over triangles to be unmarked; and to change the size of the marking brush, choose the
View tab from the context view and then adjust the value
Mark cluster diameter.
